<p>I got my letter yesterday telling me I’m on the wait-list. Anyone else similar?</p>
<p>What do we do in this situation? :P</p>
<p>Are you really interested in going to Brandeis? If so, here are some suggestions:</p>
<p>1) Send back the form that asks if you want to remain on the waitlist.
2) Continue to show interest. If you live really close by, visit again. If not, send a letter in a few weeks outlining all of your accomplishments that happened after you sent in the application and explaining why you’d really like to attend Brandeis.
3) Wait for your other schools to get back to you and choose one. I think Brandeis took a lot of people off the waitlist last year but it’s not something you can depend on, so you should have a solid back-up. Make sure you send in the deposit for this other school.
4) Brandeis will tell you about your waitlist status sometime within the next few months. I think it’s okay to contact admissions just to remind them that you’re interested but don’t annoy them too much, and don’t let your parents annoy them too much.</p>
<p>I got waitlisted too… Are you guys going to hold your decision where to go till June? Is it too late by then?</p>
<p>Most schools require a deposit by May 1st.</p>

<p>You can back out later, but you lose the deposit. If you don’t send in the deposit though, it means you’re definitely NOT going there.</p>

im actually glad tho… haha i just wanted to know something! its annoying waiting… -_-</p>
<p>but yeah i’m going to send my “yes i want to wait” paper back but if they take too long then yeah i’m just going to my other schools that I am fine with also

<p>It specifically says in the wait list letter that they do not rank their wait list candidates.</p>
<p>sigh… waitlisted also but brandeis is my top (reasonable) school that i want to go too. time to play a visit to my guidance counselor… :(</p>
