Wait listing a different section of a course

<p>Just a quick question for anyone who can help…</p>

<p>When I registered for classes a few weeks ago the section of a course that I needed (BIS 103 if that helps) filled up just before my registration time. I registered for the only other section offered, but It really messes up my schedule with my internship next quarter. I have my pass 2 registration tomorrow and the section that I would prefer only has 6 people on the wait list (so far) in a class of nearly 300. I know I can’t wait list this course tomorrow unless I drop the one i’m already in, so I just want to know whether or not it would be safe to go ahead and switch to the wait list in this section instead. If more spots fill up before me, then how far down the wait list would it be safe for me to be? I don’t have much wiggle room with taking this class during a different quarter. Thanks in advance fr your help!</p>

<p>Sorry for how late this post is, but for information I’ll do it anyway.
It could be difficult to get in on a waitlist since (I think) that is a popular class. However, if you waitlist and your position is 5 or above, you can almost assume you’ll get in. </p>
