<p>I was wait listed at Trinity College and I was wondering if its possible to still go to that college if they admit me but I've already notified another school of my attendance. They probably won't tell me until mid-May and the two other colleges I was accepted to say I must notify them by May 1st. I would really prefer if I could go to this school, especially if they offer me good financial aid.</p>
<p>Yes, you can still go – bearing in mind that you probably won’t hear from them until AFTER you’ve paid your (nonrefundable) deposit to your 2nd choice school!!</p>
<p>How much is the deposit? And If I go against my notification of attendance, will my fafsa money still come with me?</p>
<p>Deposits vary depending on the school. However, floridamom is right when she says that it’s nonrefundable (and due by May 1st for most schools). If Trinity College is your first choice, and you get admitted from the waitlist, then you can notify the other shcool that although you paid the deposit, you will not be attending. </p>
<p>If Trinity offers you a financial aid package, then yes, that will go with you.</p>
<p>You need to accept another offer of admission. Yes, you will lose your deposit if you’re pulled of the waitlist, but it’s the only safe option.</p>
<p>Finaid will vary by school, but since the majority of finaid packages have already been worked out, Trinity may be less willing to give you a generous deal if you’re ultimately accepted.</p>
