Wait, so do we even need to send in a Mid-Year Report?

Okaay, I know there are probably a million threads about Mid-Year Reports.

But what I wanted to ask was..are Mid-Year Reports even required?

Sure, the websites say they are..but on the Eli account, my application status is shown as complete even without the report. Infact, there is not even a check tab for it.

I read on the Cornell thread about someone not getting their report in, and calling the office when they said that they didn't really need it anywaaaay. <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/447081-mid-year-report-senior-year.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/447081-mid-year-report-senior-year.html</a></p>

So what's up with this? :S

yale would like a mid-year report. you’ll have to call the college to get the official opinion on this, but i’m sure the adcoms would like to make sure you’ve kept your grades up/haven’t dropped a bunch of classes. send it.

Bumpppp? :)

The mid-year report is a required form, even for SCEA admits. See the list here.

[Paper Submission of the Application | How to Apply | Application to Yale College | Freshmen | Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/how/paper.html)

Last year my S, a SCEA admit, was contacted by his region’s admissions officer who asked him to send in his mid-year transcript. They will also want a final report over the summer from all Fall admits, too.

^ I think for international applicants, who’ve completed and graduated etc. school already, if you send in your final report and leaving exam results, you don’t need them…

But isn’t your counselor supposed to take care of sending it?

not for us internationals, a lot of the time. we have to get everything together ourselves.

Do we have to get another counsler rec for the mid-year report??
