Waiting a year before starting college? Advice??

Here’s my situation. I’ve been getting freshman admissions letters back for fall, and have come to realize that none of the colleges I have been accepted into I would care to commit four years to. The reason for this is I didn’t find the colleges I ended up really liking until late autumn, and didn’t bother applying. So, knowing that admissions tend to be much more difficult and somewhat more costly (not to mention harder socially) for transfers than freshman, would it be wise to take only a semester of community college or some economical university, and then apply for freshman admission next year? Can anyone verify that I would still be considered a “freshman applicant” if I did this? I am also considering Spring enrollment if it proves advisable.

What would you do in this situation if freshman orientation was a priority?

If you take any college classes, you will be a transfer.

Well that’s disappointing :frowning:
