Aright guys, so it seems like a decent amount of people have been receivedtheir acceptance letters in the mail yesterday, this is for those who havent gotten received their letters, or have gotten rejected (not sure if they sent out rejections just yet). Anyhow, for those who havent received any news, post your stats! Also, post your feelings on not getting mail yet, and/or what you think that means.

Also comment on how close you live to UW/general area you are from

I’m just stressing that I’m gonna find a white envelope instead of a gold one when I open the mailbox…

I live about an hour up north of Seattle

Yeah, so true…that would be an indicator of rejection. What r ur stats?

Hey, I’m in Everett and I just got my letter yesterday. You’ll probably get it monday.

Ironically, the “big” envelope is insanely small, so don’t expect an info packet until about a week after your letter. Regardless, good luck to you!

Do you know of some qualified applicants that haven’t gotten their letters yet, around the seattle area? I’m worried, and thanks!

One of my friends hasn’t gotten any letter, and he is sort of qualified I guess…
2270 SAT(1 sitting), 3.9+ gpa., and some ecs as well.

does he live in seattle? OOS or in state?

I live in Lynnwood, 30 mins away from UW and I haven’t gotten my letter yet. 3.69 gpa, 3 APS, 1680 SAT so I’m on the edge of getting accepted. My friend, however, got his acceptance letter on Saturday and he lives 2 mins away from me…almost in the same neighborhood. He has a 3.8 or so gpa and his SATs are in the 1900s but his essays weren’t that great.

I’m OOS… getting really anxious to hear back. Hopefully it will be sometime this week??

@huskyhopeful

A friend close by is a minority/naitonal merit scholar. Basically a shoe-in, but he hasn’t gotten his letter yet.

@swishbig good luck! What school does your friend go to?

Anyone who hasn’t gotten their letter yet, POST YOUR STATS!!!

I live about 45 minutes away from Seattle and have not received a letter, although many of my classmates did. Last year, my friend’s sister received her acceptance the first day of letters and her brother with the same last name and address got his acceptance 2 days later, so don’t stress out too much!

Also, here are my stats: 3.5 GPA, 1800 SAT, 6 AP Classes, 4 Pre-AP, class officer 4 years, varsity athlete, maintain a job, scholar athlete, select softball, class treasurer 3 years, Link Crew, National Honor Society, Drug Prevention President, ASB Leadership 3 years, etc. I have not received a letter.

Good luck to youu @rkms95! That’s odd that he got his letter 2 days letter, haha! Know of any others that got acceptances after the first day?

You as well! Yes, there were a few kids from my school last year who got theirs after the first day!

I also live about 1 hour away from Seattle and didn’t get my letter yesterday either… I have 3.8 gpa, 1620 SAT (I don’t know how I got such a low score, this might be why I don’t get in), 5 APs (US, Calc AB and BC, Language an composition, and Bio), Link crew, Volunteered for youth camp for more than 60 hours, Varsity athletics, national honor society, received award in local news paper for volunteering, mentored mentally disabled students at my school, I also think my essays were pretty good. But i’m super anxious!

^ are you an URM? That would be a shoe in if you are, even with that SAT.

I live in Spokane, about a 4 or 5 hour drive from Seattle, and didn’t get anything yet (not surprising). Hopefully I get a nice letter in the mail tomorrow.

-3.74 GPA (when it was reported, it’s higher now)
-2010 SAT (not superscored or anything)
-8 total APs: AP English Comp (5), APUSH (4), and AP Chem (2 lol) junior year
-AP Stats, AP Lit, AP Psych, APES, and AP Euro this year.
-National Honor Society w/ volunteer work
-Link Crew
-Part time job work experience
-Pretty decent essays I’d say, but each went slightly over the word limit
-White male, in-state.

Overall I think the odds are in my favor, but I’m still really nervous!
