Waiting for acceptance letter

How long does it normally take for them to mail you a decision? I know they are pretty efficient. How long after my app is completed will they notify me?

When did you send it in?

1) if you knew when he sent it in, i doubt you would know the answer to his question,

2) it doesn't matter when, we are wondering about delta t, not x initial.

3) back to studying for ap physics test.

Some really vulgar and profane stuff in German.

i always criticize what you write because everything you write asks to be criticized.

and WoW, the answer i seem to get is always "anytime between now and R-Day"

Ok so lets say they received everything today.

"anytime between now and R-Day"

THanks, but does anyone have personal experience, like "I finished it on on the 1st and they sent me a package on the 20th"?

Army_Freak,

Lots of people are trying to help you and have been very nice to you. This board has parents and candidates who disagree politely with each other. We'll be happy to continue supporting you, but you need to reciprocate by being respectful and polite also.

WoW, do you have an LOA or a principle nomination? I think a lot depends on that. I have heard of people with LOAs getting theirs in the mail only like 2 weeks after their file is complete. I would think that it may be similar for people with principle noms. I don't have the principle nom, so I think I will have to wait a while, maybe until the person who has the principle nom hears back from all his/her colleges and decides maybe usma isnt right for him/her... so i'm not really expecting anything 'till april.

Army_Freak, like momoftwins said, we just don't do that on these boards. I realize that this may not be your experience in other online forums. Please express your frustration in a more mature manner. Nobody wants to read that nonsense. <spidermom gives="" her="" burn="" your="" eyeballs="" out="" motherly="" stare="">.</spidermom>

What did I miss? What did Army Freak do?

taffy, remember...time is key ::draws a picture of a key...::
The AP exam for Phsyics C (i assume you are taking C) is not that difficult. Our teacher barely tough much (much if it was "be like college and study on your own") in mech or E/m and i walked away with a 5/4 on both sections.

but that is completely off topic...

Edit:
Sorry, what did army freak do wrong here? Just from what im seeing didnt he just ask a question (pretty straight forward too?).

his post got deleted, so don't worry about it :)

my ap physics teacher isn't really that good. we'll see, i suppose.

Oh common what'd he say..I'm curious now

P.S. On the topic of AP's, are any of the appointee's going to take them very seriously? I mean theres value in learning the material, but are you going to stress very much about the AP's?

I'm not stressing, but I would like to validate physics and calc so that I can minor in terrorism studies.

How does validating classes work? I'm in BC calc and i'll really have to work for the 5. I'm on track for a 4 right now, but does that mean i wont be able to validate anything? Can you validate only AB material even if you took BC? Is the validating process like everyone just sits and takes tests for a day or is it elective?

to answer your question taffy I have a nomination from my congressman.

same here, it didn't say anything about "principal" in it. west point updated the nomination info on my candidate status ~ january 25th, so I think thats when my file was complete.

Admissions is still waiting for all the principal nominations to come in, along with some last minute paperwork. So I'm not getting my hopes up for a letter anytime before the last couple days of Feb.

WoW4201

My son with an LOA noticed his letter of nomination from our Senator was "officially" submitted February 3rd. The appointment jacket was received Saturday 2/11/06. So 8 days later from the posting that all the processing was complete the Official Appointment came in. He and the rest of the family are on cloud nine! We knew it should come with his LOA, but until it does your patience must hold out. Be strong if you know everything is complete then be assured there's nothing more you can do - don't frett over things you can't control. Live with the satisfaction you completed the burdensome and yet rewarding task!!
