Waiting for March 9th

Hello fello applicants. Only three more weeks and were done. Its amazing how March 9th and 10th is either going to be one of the best days of our lives or one of the worst. But it will all turn out to be ok. So I was thinking that I should make this thread just to make the wait less stressful. So, which package or positive email would you guys like to receive the most? What are you going to do if we receive the great news? I think this will be a little fun posting to get all of this out of our minds. But also, everyone should give themselves pat on their back for all the hard and stressful work they have put in and thank the people that made this possible. Especially our parents, also, do something nice for the person who's helped out the most. For example, my dad wrote my parent statements and went with me to my parent tours and interviews. No one went through this alone, and I think that is very important that we should thank that person. But even if we don't get the news we want to receive. Still be proud. Now, lets get to that fun posting!

I don’t have one email I’d like to get since I’d really like to be accepted to all haha! Regardless of whether or not I am accepted to any, I am going out to dinner with my parents just to celebrate the hard work that not only I put in, but they put in also. Like you said, they took time out of their schedule not only to write the parent statements, but they took time off of work to come and tour the campuses and be interviewed. Their role in this was just as important as mine so they deserve to be recognized just as much if not more.

I think thats great your going out to dinner regardless of the status. My dad said that he would throw me a party, (i don’t like to be center of attention), and he kept on blabbing and blabbing about the decorations and all of that. Im really excited, but good for you! I hope to be accepted to Andover.

Hopefully that’ll be a party celebrating your admission to Andover or whatever other school or schools you applied to! I’m applying there too, what grade are you applying for?

If you’re fashion conscious I suggest going to theexeterdresscode.■■■■■■■■■■ to check out how real boarders dress, and go to their faq to check out other schools fashions. Worth a shot to scroll and look at what bs-veterans are wearing now and then.

@confusedonhades, Im currently an eighth grader. So I’m applying for freshman

I want the Ross scholarship from SPS the most. Second would be an acceptance from any other school I applied to. If I do get the Ross scholarship I am:
~Getting a new Mac
~Celebrating at my favorite restaurant
~Buying a longboard
~Giving back to the community that has raised me thus far (I swore it a few weeks ago)
~Buying new clothes as my attire would not match the dress code at SPS

If I get into any school without the scholarship:
~Celebrating at my favorite restaurant
~Giving back to the community that has raised me thus far
~Buying new shirts/jackets/shoes

Umm… Screaming “yay” and waving the letter/ computer around?

I havent really thought about it too much. Im trying to avoid being too hopeful so i wont be disappointed on the 10th  if as in IIIFFF i get accepted, my parents will probably take me out to dinner to celebrate.

Tell friends via facebook. Imsg my cousin and share the news. And stop myself from telling random people in the st im accepted haha. :D

Oh wait… If I get rejected from every school, I have no back up plans. It’s really all or nothing.

i.e. I have no public school to go to.

Ha @Alaska. Exact same here.

@PxAlaska, Thats a lot of stuff you have right there, Good luck on that scholarship
@Annyuta, Come on! lets be more positive about this, trust me, being positive is much better.
But if I do get accepted to one of my schools, i’m only telling my parents and one of my grandmas, no one else not even my sisters

@BHADES, why?

I have a huge competition that day, so regardless of how I feel I’ll be putting on a smile, and boy, do I hope that smile’s genuine!

@CellyZ Good luck!!

@PxAlaska, I just meant you have a lot of things you are going to do with that acceptance which is good! I haven’t really planned all of what I am going to do, I wish I was more like you!

@BHADES, no no no! I meant why aren’t you telling anyone! But thank you:)

Oh! well my parents want me to keep it a surprise so we can have a party and tell them there, i think that would be fun

@BHADES thats a great idea! Definitely sounds fun ;)

Im trying to be positive or at least to not think about it too much haha.

Yes Im really excited. Only twenty more days! But time will go by fast because Im one of the leads for the school play, which is one week after i get he news. So I will be very busy

What I Would Do If I Were Accepted:

1) Scream hysterically
2) Jump around like Bugs Bunny
3) Laugh uncontrollably
4) Scream again
5) Run all around the house and annoy my parents
6) Open the windows to announce my news to my neighborhood; it’ll be a nice wake-up alarm for them
7) Spam all my friends-even though they don’t really want me to go to BS
8) Start typing random stuff on the keyboard because I’m too excited to write anything else
9) Skip lunch because, well, that acceptance letter? It was my lunch
10) Start frantically searching the dress codes at the schools
11) Realize that all I have in my wardrobe are sweatpants, flip-flops, and sweatshirts (I know, I’m such a slobby dresser)
12) Opening up millions of tabs on the Internet
13) Finding dorm decorations, etc.
14) Suddenly realize that I haven’t been on CC
15) Start hysterically ranting on Prep School Admissions forums

So basically, I get hyper and then go wayyy ahead of myself. But if I get rejected, then I’ll just go on with my life; I almost have too much to do! I wouldn’t miss going to BS.
