Waiting for May SAT scores?

Anyone else waiting for....er... I mean, have a kid waiting for, SAT scores? Fortunately it's not a do-or-die situation here, my son is not interested in Ivy League schools but it will still be interesting to see how well he does and whether he needs to retake and of course it will help set the parameters of what is a safety/match/reach. Extra long wait for these scores as the College Board is taking additional time after their major screwup last time around. Hey, how come THEY get extra time??

Because they're disabled?

runs and hides

According to the college board, the added week is for "enhanced quality control" to lessen "humidity impact". The controls include improved software and scanning each answer sheet twice on different days

The countdown begins ... good luck!

On availability of scores, College Board usually underpromises and overdelivers (a little), so I would start checking for scores any time now.

P.S. I just checked, with my son's online account on the College Board Web site, and his SAT II score is not up as of 8:45pm CDT on the 30th, but I expect he'll be able to see his scores pretty early tomorrow.

Waiting on 2 subject tests here and he's decided to wait until noon to check his scores. He never seems to be anxious about finding out anything of this nature. He's taking the SAT Saturday and will be gone for summer program when the scores come out. I wonder if he'll check online or make me wait for the mailed scores!

I hope they get it right this time. Good luck to everyone's kids.

The CB site says 8:00 AM (Eastern time, I assume).

I cannot print what I think of these people:

We're sorry, but your scores are not available yet.

Please allow another week for processing before you check back for your scores.

Although most scores are available on the first score release day, a small percentage is not. There are a handful of reasons why scores are sometimes released later than usual. If you took a make-up test after the actual test date or your test center's answer sheets were delivered a day or two late, your scores will be released a little later. Also, if extra time is needed to match your answer sheet information (such as your name or other information about you) to your registration record, then your scores will take longer to process.

We are working as quickly as possible to deliver your scores to you and appreciate your patience.

what a bunch of total friggin morons.... his scores are up now. :)

Whoa! That's a little threatening! (Not the part about maybe your center's tests got delivered late, but the sense that maybe they are looking at something and plan to crank up the computer a few more times . . . .)

Scores are up here.

Scores were available (unfortunately), but got a message that the Score Report (percentiles, details, etc.) won't be online until June 3. Thank goodness for the ACT.

Yeah! He got a Math IIC - 780, and a Chemistry - 800! Subject tests are SO over. :) :) :) Now I just have to convince the boy to retake his SAT 1's - and he is NOT enthusiastic. He got a 800 M / 730 W - but a 690 CR, on his first go-around. Yes, it's a good score, but since he will need merit aid, it would really help if he had a 700 or more on the CR, and on each of the subscores (And most of the public U's will only look
at scores from a single sitting) Big sigh of relief for the SAT II's. I hope your kids all have good results, too! :)

Iderochi, the percentiles and essay score were not online earlier today but they are available now. You probably don't have to wait until June 3. Just more stupidity from Collegeboard. 5 minutes before you post information online you post a message stating that the information will be available in one week. You tell everyone the info will be available at 8 am but you make it available at 5 am. Who would complain about that? 3 hours ahead of schedule. But just for fun, at 5 minutes to 5 you post a message telling people to come back in one week. How is a "customer" supposed to believe anything these folks say??

We still get the "check back on June 3" message for a single SAT II score. That is, we know the scaled score, but we don't have any "detailed analysis" yet.

Thanks NJ, but I'm still getting a popup that tells me to check back June 3 for the Score Report.

If you back out from that page and go to sent scores (perhaps you have to have sent scores somewhere to access this) you can see the breakdown of the Writing score.

My 7th grade daughter took the May 6th SAT for CTY. She did much better on the real thing than on the one practice test she did beforehand. This is my most sensitive child and I was a little concerned the length of the test would be too much for her. She came out of the test with a smile on her face and said it wasn't that bad afterall. Thankfully it's been a positive experience which will hopefully put her a little more at ease when she takes it in high school.
