the $1200 class was really the only SAT prep available in my area and I'm proud to have actually worked for that money and even prouder (at that time, anyways) to have spent it on SAT class (instead of a new computer :-(

nah...spend the money on prep books. I applaud you for working for that sum of money. I never had so much money in my life.... :'( I dont save.

Literature: 760 (So relieved, I thought I'd done terribly)
World History: 740 (No idea how THAT happened. I'd never taken a world history class before in my life and had just been studying on my own for two months before the test. Heh. Very happy about this too :))

Hi Adelais, could you enlighten us on what material did you use to revise for the WH test? And was the two months of study intensive? How many hours per day?

Hey Nadash- I bought the Kaplan World History book then went to my local library and checked out a bunch of books on different sections of World History... The silk roads, The Greeks, The Renissance...ect ect ect. Then I read the Kaplan books a million times Lol.
Ah I'd say I studied 2-3 hours a day, though I am a terrible slacker and skipped some days ;)

Wow......I planning to intensive 3 weeks with PR and Kaplan.. Was the additional reading useful?

Yes, very. Originally I was just going to read Kaplan but then my scores on practice tests weren't going anywhere so I started reading more actual books and my scores went up a lot. Not sure why that worked but it did...

Awww crap.... shiver

Spanish: 760!!!! yay!! I thought for sure I would get like a 600... came this close to cancelling, i guess the moral of the story here is don't cancel your scores.

Eugh... horrible scores...

French : 800
Math I : 640
World History : 580!!!

My son received an 800 in US History, 790 in Bio E, and 780 in World History. He didn't do any specific studying for the SAT II's since he took them after taking AP's for US History, Euro Hist. and Bio.

Those bastards at Collegeboard must have screwed up my writing score! The last time i took the SAT, i got a 660, with an 8 on the essay and a 68 on MC. How the heck could have my multiple choice drop 6 points??? I'm going to have it rescored. This is ridiculous.

uh, perhaps you're just not as good at "writing" as you thought you were?
