I got my acceptance letter about 3 weeks ago and my Honors College application soon after that. However, I still have not received a scholarship letter.

My stats are:

ACT: 34
SAT: 1380/2180 (Reading 670, Math 710, Writing 800)
UW GPA: 4.0
Class Rank: 2
4 AP classes

I would think that my stats would earn me some sort of scholarship, so I was wondering if I should keep waiting to receive a letter or if I should email them about it.

Well, I still haven’t made an ultimate decision. The only Ivy League school I would want to go to is Yale, and I won’t find out if I got accepted until April.

However, UCF is much closer (I live in Florida), and I can only use my Florida Bright Futures scholarship for a school in Florida. I have plenty of reasons why to choose or not choose either school, but I’m going to keep thinking it over until I find out if I got into Yale or not.

"Congratulations on your admission to UCF. We begin awarding scholarships to
students quite early in the year and at this time our scholarship funds are very
limited. The Scholarship Appeal Committee is considering all students at this
time on a case-by-case basis. You are welcome to submit a letter requesting
scholarship consideration and the Scholarship Committee would be happy to review
your credentials to determine if there is any scholarship money available. Feel
free to include any supporting documentation, like awards from other schools,
you feel support your appeal.

You can fax the letter to 407-823-3419 and to my attention.

If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact me."

UCF has always given out their available merit scholarships early in an attempt to lure the best and brightest students. A case of the early bird getting the worm. Quite a few of those awarded will NOT be used and so, in late February or early March (after Ivy and UF notifications are out) the merit money “bank” will again have available funds.

So now you have to ask yourself whether you are serious about UCF or not. If you want to attend UCF, then write the letter. If not, don’t bother.

Check under undergraduate status because i just check mine today and it says im offer a bronze pegasus, btw how much is a bronze pegasus scholarship for florida resident anyways?
