How do you usually distract yourself? I took it for the first time yesterday and I'm already anxious to know my scores! I feel like the waiting game is worse than the test itself!

Ahaha, I agree, the waiting game is horrible.

Wait until you have to play the waiting game with college admissions.

Sorry, not helping.

But I guess I distracted myself with schoolwork and…fandoms.

Yeah. Just find something you’re interested in and throw yourself into it, try not to think too much about the SAT, and if you do think about it just tell yourself that everything is going to be okay.

Something like that.

Bump bump bump

“Homework- remember, GPA matters for college too” said my stupid inner thoughts.

Agh me too…I’m so anxious to see my scores to see if I’ll have to retake…

First time taker last jan test so I’m just as anxious as you are. I’m focusing on my AP classes in school to take my mind off the SAT

hey, just a quick question, CB doesn’t automatically send your scores to colleges once you take them right, you have to check some box or something that says send scores…

From what I remember, when you start sending your SAT scores to colleges, you have to go onto the collegeboard website and tell them which colleges to send your scores to.

After a few days, you’ll stop thinking about your scores. Just do your everyday stuff and try not to think about the SAT.

Focus on your EC. Set some goal that will take you until 2/14 to reach.

The scores are due out tomorrow morning aren’t they? How do you access them? Just log on to College Board?

^Yup! Scores are released around 5am EST.

Soooo…Will anyone else be up at 5:00? !!! I think falling asleep will be an issue. BTW, I am the parent of an SAT taker…I have no doubt my daughter will be sleeping soundly :-)

@Anjintrader- Oh of course! And seeing as you’re a CC parent, I’m sure your daughter did fine :)

My son just checked one of his pending college accounts and the SAT scores from 1/26 were posted today. I don’t know if they are in his College Board account but they have been reported and are showing up at the college.

@threeofthree- Nope, collegeboard’s not showing them (you just got everyone’s hope’s up though!)

@agreatperhaps> She’s always done well on these tests. Smart kid. And I’m always nervous! LOL! So now I’m thinking this is the last one…nope! Down the road there will probably be the LSAT, or the MCAT, or the GRE.

Yeah, took a look on the College Board and nada.

I’m freaking out! I was actually hoping I would get a lot of homework tonight to get my mind off of it, but I only had some simple math! I think I’m gonna take a bubble bath and watch some Big Bang Theory. I’m definitely not sleeping tonight!

Well AZKoogle, as a parent, your nervous/enthusiasm/anticipation is refreshing. Seen too many kids blase about it,including my own. I wish you luck!!!

Thank you! I’ve always been this way about tests. :P
