I am an international applicant and my application status which is "in review" has not been changed so far. I am pretty concerned about the decision while I am too enthusiastic to study at UT, Austin...

I guess, the committee will make their last decisions in this week... I just want to confront the reality :(

From what I hear having “in review” for a longer period of time is actually a good thing. It means they didn’t just throw away your application.

Yes, that’s correct. However, it makes me worried anyway
Do you think the rumour about the last committee meeting is correct ?

Are you guys sure that “in review” means that your application is actually being actively reviewed by someone? I assumed this was sort of an automated change made in the system once all required components had been received & processed since mine changed ~1wk after submitting. Where did y’all hear this “longer review is better” business? Thanks!

My thing JUST changed from In review to complete, what does this mean!

also an international student, my thing has been ‘in review’ for three months! they better hurry up im getting impatient

Just as me… I am regularly refreshing the page 54235245234141 times a day…

In addition, “eagerlywaiting”, I believe, you are so close to get an e-mail…

Aussiegirl1, good luck

AHH so scary! Thankyou !

when the Sun goes up , it means that it is a new day with new hopes :D

okay my friend just told me she got accepted to mccombs. and here i am… waiting. lol

haha we are with you! what school did u apply to?

i applied to school of natural sciences. How’d you guys go in SAT/ACT lol i did so average in both cos i sat them during my final yr12 exams period and literally went into them blind…didnt even know that like the whole thing was multichoice loll and only sat them once (apparently people in the US sit them like 3 or 4 times). the only things i have going for me are my extra curriculars and my australian school academic results (and we only grade with A B C D not GPA’s so dont even know if theyll understand it!) and the fact im an international. My SAT: 1690 ACT: 25…but on the bright side those scores got me into A&M, so hopefully theyre enough to get me into UT !

Congratulations… Unfortunately, I was rejected by A&M :/

aw dont worry! i hope we all get into UT then, goodluck " y’all " :)

I was rejected from A&M with SAT score of 1980 so I have little hope left for UT and I wait for Purdue. If I am rejected from both what is likely I will go to PSU. Tough for any international student to get to a good school in Texas so congratulations aussiegirl1.

im on 1780 but for communications so im really really scared right now. its my only option left.

still " in review " lol

whereas, my SOP was not that long :P

finally my status has just changed from “your file is in review” to “your application for admission is complete”…now to wait for the actual admission decision…scary times!

“Aussiegirl1”

I am pretty sure that you are gonna get accepted. However, please share this with us who are so enthusiastic to get information about the decisions.

Unfortunately, mine is still the same. Why they have been lingering for so long, I don’t know…
