As Eddieee stated, some people applied to BC as a safety and have no real reason to spend anymore time with it if they were accepted at one of their top choices. Also, some people might have financial concerns leading them to not wanting to throw away the deposit at another school.

Although I don't really care..I only applied to BC because my mother wanted me to, haha. So the schools that I've already been accepted to appeal much more to me than BC, considering that I never cared about it to begin with (that sounds terrible/snooty..it's just not the right school for me :)).

I'm only sleeping-- you sound like my D. She is content on the waiting list. She's already been accepted to the schools she really likes anyway. She never even visited BC. I've been told it's a overpriced for what you get. In other words, OVERRATED!!:)

I accepted placement on the waitlist. The next day, I received my letter of acceptance to Lehigh. I wish I had declined. :-(
Anyhoo, I had already been accepted into my top choice Williams College long ago. I suppose I am just being vain.

waitlist sucks, just reject me :(
what do u guys think?
i think il fill out the waitlist thing just for the hell of it but if i acutaly got in waitlisted i dunno if i wana be the bc left overs but then again it was my top choice and i looooooooveedd it

momsworried~I'm so sorry that your D was waitlisted, but happy that she's been accepted to other schools that she likes!! She will actually have the luxury of choosing which school she attends next year!! As far as being overrated--we have been so thrilled with everything about it, I can't even begin to tell you--and so has our D--she loves it!! So it all depends on your perspective!! We think it has been worth every penny!!!!!

Good luck to your D at the school she chooses!!

Accepted waitlist, reluctantly. Figured we already paid our app fee so let them work for it, but have no expectation of being selected in the final round - mid May?! Hopefully one of my other choices will come through this week. Come on April 1!!!

I'm going to wait for all my other letters to come in and then decide. Boston isn't my top choice and i dont want to take away some other Waitlisted persons chance because im stubborn.

I'm with I'm Only Sleeping though....i didnt really care so much about it. i just kinda applied for the heck of it. im actually glad i got waitlisted over getting rejected. i already got into schools that offered me money that i like better so im just gunna decline...it will be easier and less stressful.

good luck to all of you that did accept though!! i hope you all get in!!!!!

I will be accepting my placement on the list. However, I do not see my position changing drastically, and I still am unsure about how invested I am.
