Has anyone heard about the waitlist? Have they taken anyone more for the class of 2011? Have they shortlisted? Does anyone have any info at all?

I haven't heard anything. I have no more hope. AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so screwed this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being waitlisted is worst than getting rejected.

Well, being waitlisted means you are actually worth something... At least, being waitlisted at Ivy is better for my ego than being totally rejected...

It is weird - it is already 10th June - and Williams is still undecided...

Guys, don't lose hope... I managed to get accepted to one college in the Netherlands, while waiting for Williams... Still, I desperately want Williams.

The wait list has just been closed.

Yep. It just has been closed. Well, so what are you going to do now, guys? Lets share...

I will probably spend this year in Germany in Studienkolleg (it is kinda a preparatory course for German university), but still don't know for sure...

And of course I will apply this fall to Williams again, but as Early Action, not RD. I decided that I need only Williams... Of course I will try other LAC...

How do you know that the waitlist is closed. Did you receive an e-mail?

Yea, I got an email yesterday.

Thanks Ed. No word yet for American nationals. We have to wait for snail-mail. I wonder whether they shortlisted.

Waitlist Closed.
The Committee on Admission has completed making offers to candidates on our waiting list. We will send notification shortly to students who remained interested, and we thank them for their patience through the process.

This is from the Williams website today

Has anyone received the "notification" that they said they'd send?

Wouldn't be surprised if it were sent by snail mail as it apparently is an official notification. That would mean it will take a few days domestically and even longer internationally, of course (maybe they'll also send internationals an email, as they do with Early Decision and Regular Decision).

Good luck to each of you and, ultimately, happiness wherever you end up.
