It was 397 hash, not 387, but it doesn't matter that much. The A2 examinations become far easier if you score high in your AS levels, which means that you can just coast for most of the summer term!

Which, no doubt, you are doing as well. ;)

are we talking about some kind of british standardized testing? hash 397 and 387 business? AS A2. hmmm....anyhow. i m guessing that replies will prolly come may 31. they said early april for decisions and they were sent out april 1 so im thinking late may=may 31?

yep inuendo, I read 397, but accidentally typed 387.

I guess I am coasting normal maths, but further maths is not so easy...

I see. F2, formerly P5, is quite tricky I've heard. What about Chemistry and Physics, you coasting those? I do Chemistry but decided against picking Physics even though I really like that science because of all the "Forces" content on the syllabus. Plus, our school has a policy that if you do Physics then you have to do Mechanics with Maths and I wanted to do Statistics since I am likely to pursue Economics at university.

Physics I am semi coasting, but Chemistry I find a bit more chalenging. It should be OK though.

It's a shame about the Mechanics with maths rule, but I suppose it does make physics a lot easier if you do it that way.

By the way, did Stanford specify minimum grades you need to attain in order to go there?

No. Its an unconditional offer.

M3 is evil. I'm doing it and it's bloody difficult. The other class is doing S1 - pah. I did P1, P2 and M1 last year, did P3 last week and have M3 and M2 left. What are the core modules like?

Wait, I'm pretty sure Stanford will look at our A Level grades. It's unconditional for the most part, but if one ends up with, say, CCDE then wouldn't they rescind the offer? On the other hand BBBB wouldn't affect your offer much, I think.

Wow, great to know the london offers As in Further Maths, well, i got my CIE (Cambridge) A level Further maths Pure on 2nd June while mechanics and statistics+mechanics on 8th june, and have A level chemistry the same day.

A level mechanics today...made the usual silly mistakes...and now...for further, i have to revise eveything from A to Z, or i wont even manage a U.

A freind, who did A levels last yesr( repeating this years as well even the subject with As in them....) got off the waitlist last night, he got a personalized email.

so anyone hear from stanford yet? i think tomrw is doomsday because they said theyd reply by late may. and its pretty late may id think.

Yeah, I got my decision today: rejected. The included note said they admitted fewer than 10 people from the WL this year. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if at least one of those 10 is on CC.

how did they contact you?

no no. strike that. how do u feel>?
