<p>^ I don’t think this is necessarily gaming the system–I can’t imagine that having fewer applicants, a higher acceptance rate, and a lower yield would generally result in higher SAT/ACT scores and high school class ranks for the entering class. If anything, being optimistic about it, this may be the result of putting efforts into increasing the QUALITY of the applicant pool/entering class, instead of merely growing the applicant pool and reducing the acceptance rate. If that is what has happened, that’s really the opposite of gaming the system.</p>
