Waiting on that SIR might be worth it!

<p>I just got an email from UCB saying I have been awarded the "Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship"! On May 21!</p>

<p>I was accepted to both UCLA and UCB and have not sent in my SIR yet because I am torn between the two.</p>

<p>Now I'm glad I waited.</p>

<p>I do find this strange because this regent scholarship never showed up on my preliminary financial aid award. This must have been a recent decision. They should have done this way earlier. What if people get this email right after sending their SIR to UCLA? That would seriously SUCK, lol.</p>

<p>Anyone else just get this email!?</p>

<p>Whoah that’s awesome! Congratulations!! I did not get this e-mail, but I am in the same stagnant state debating between UCB and UCLA lol.</p>

<p>So did they originally send you a nomination email/letter for the regents? or did they just give it to you out of no where? Because if it’s the latter, then it gives hope to every last one of us and that wouldn’t be nice!</p>

<p>They gave it to me completely out of nowhere. I never had to go through the regular nomination process. I was very surprised.</p>

<p>Believe it or not, even after this, I still have not SIR’d to Berkeley. I am sorta waiting to see if maybe UCLA will do the same thing. :slight_smile: Unlikely to happen at this point but hey! You never know…</p>

<p>I sent my transcripts to both UCLA and Berkeley just in case, a few weeks ago. I haven’t sent my SIR yet though.</p>
