Im going to be a senior next year and my current gpa is a 2.93 (unweighted) and a 22 act.
I plan on retaking the act in early september, and next year im taking 2 duel enrollment classes and one ap, which should raise my gpa if i do good in the classes.
All throughout high school i've taken honors classes but i don't know if my schools weigh or not.
My question is, do i even have time to retake the act and higher my gpa atleast a teeny bit?
If its best to apply before november, then they wont see my 6th semester grades right..?

Sorry i meant 7th semester :|

You need to apply early to have any shot of admission.

Yes, your GPA and ACT need to be raised, but you honestly don’t have time. If you wait to raise them then you are going to apply later when admissions are MUCH tougher. Your best bet is to apply early and then send your ACT after you’ve applied and they’ll send your fall semester grades after the semester is over.

6th semester? I’m assuming you mean 7th semester, or did something happen when you missed a semester of school?

I’m going to try a new approach to the low-gpa, low-act applicant admission inquiries. Try to explain your follies in high school that led to your low gpa in your personal statement. Before or after your explanation, you need to state HOW you plan to do better in college than you did in high school. But, try not to make your stats the center of your personal statement, rather, try to make your other qualities (passion for a sport, club, field, or work) stand out in your personal statement. Try to make the adcoms see that you will improve in college.

I’m only saying this because it may be your only shot at MSU. Yes, applying early will help, but it can only help you so much. Your stats are not just below average, they’re actually quite low.

Be sure to apply to other schools so you have a safety.

Best of luck.

Ok, that’s fine. I was just making sure (I nearly missed a semester of school, so I was going to give you advice if that was the situation that you were in).

PS has good advice.

What kind of ECs did you have?
