Waiting to hear!?

After my son's application said in process for more than a month I called. They said a decision was made, didn't tell me what it was and that we would get something in the mail in a few weeks. Anyone else get this answer and end up with an acceptance? It sounds like a rejection is on the way.

I did not call in but my son’s portal is similar after about the same time period. there were some posts on the accepted board stating what our portals say and they got acceptances. My son is well within the accepted guidelines so I’d be surprised if he didn’t get in but it’s still an odd way to post it! Kind of rude they would not tell you!

My daughter received her acceptance letter on 12/5. We had called a few days earlier to make sure her 1st. quarter grades made it into her file. They did and we were told a decision had been made and to look for it in the mail shortly. Good news arrived 3 days later. We didn’t ask the decision when on the phone thinking that they probably prefer not to give decisions that way. I wouldn’t read into the phone call too much. I don’t think that is an indicator of the result.

Good Luck!!

Thanks! Will keep our eye on the mail!

Your son should ask to speak to an admissions counselor. That’s what my son did and he got the acceptance over the phone.

I had called and they informed me of the same thing. They said they don’t release information over the phone because they have no way to verify who is calling on the students behalf. I ended up speaking with a girl who was a junior at Quinnipiac and she told me that most of the calls are answered by student workers who do not have access to see what the decisions are anyway. Long story short, I ended up getting my acceptance a few days later in the mail!!! So, I don’t think that not getting the decision over the phone is a bad thing, just seems to be the way they have things set up for security purposes.

anyone hear back from the physician assistant program?

Thanks for all the encouragement. My son received his acceptance after many weeks in review!

Has anyone else applying for the BS/MS OT program heard yet?

For us, it’s been ~2 months, 2013 has now expired, and we’ve got nothing in the mail … (hope we don’t have an unpleasant bit of news coming :frowning: but we’re pretty sure our D would get into QU overall).

Beginning to wonder if she’s going to get pushed to her alternate choice of major.

What’s ur gpa and sat?

For those who have a decision, how long did it take? I applied around November 20th and still have not heard anything.

When I applied last year I applied in late November as well and heard back in late January early February so I guess it just depends on how things work out. Don’t worry, you will all hear back soon!

My s applied 3rd week of November and no word yet either…

My d applied 3rd week of October and no reply

I applied October 20th with a major in Computer Science. On December 20th, site changed from being reviewed to “decision made and will hear in the mail within 1 - 2 weeks”. Received great news in the mail today. It takes awhile but eventually you will hear.

Nothing after 10 weeks…

@QUadmiss The portal was finally updated for review. I know there was a big marketing push this year. Maybe not such a good thing because it is sometimes hard figure out who has real interest. We will keep waiting.
:-*

Waitlisted

Is anyone else still waiting to hear? It’s been almost 7 weeks since I applied (I know, I should have applied earlier) and my portal still says that my application has been received. It does not even say “in review” yet. Could this be because I applied so late? I haven’t received any emails saying that the college was missing some part of my application, and I was careful in submitting everything I needed to submit.
