Does this hurt you at all?

I know that the UC website crashes the last week of Nov, but that's UCs, where it's like 100k+ apps.

Last year people were waiting until Nov 30 (deadline) to do it, and it crashed.

Don't wait until the last minute. Simple as that.

I'm submitting at least one or two days before.

don't submit it right away because you might need to make changes.

Submit it when it's finished. Do not wait until the last moment; you never know what can happen. (For example, yesterday we had a storm-related power failure. It was no problem yesterday, but can you guarantee that this won't happen on the due date?)

Also, as someone who has written many different types of documents, do not keep reviewing and reviewing and reviewing. In such a situation, you will make changes that you should not make. You will make your application worse, not better.

When it's done, it's done. Hit submit and go on with your life.

Some colleges need to RECIEVE the application by a due date, so sending in an application ON the due date would make it late...so be sure to read carefully about when the colleges need to recieve their applications by!

My son submitted his online apps on the last day and was accepted to almost all his schools - same for my d. In fact, one of hers was a few hrs late and she was still accepted. I wouldn't advise doing this as the stress level increases and mistakes are more likely but if you decide to add a school at the last minute, it can work out. My son is attending the program he applied to at the very last minute. He simply didn't think he had a chance of getting accepted and was tired of the whole app ordeal - but he decided to give it a shot and quickly wrote some extra essays at the last minute.
