Please pardon if this sounds trite. I sent my applications out over 1 month ago, and I hear from my first school by December 15th. I was wondering if anybody has advice on keeping your mind "off of it," etc. until the day comes! As excited as I am to hear from schools, I don't want to be thinking about this all of the time.
Thanks so much!

Everybody has a different way to cope with the “wait”. For me personally, reading and Netflix do it. Find something to take your mind off of the results.

Thank you, @viphan .

I personally take the masochistic approach and watch countless YouTube videos about each school I applied to lol.

But besides that, I have two jobs so that keeps me fairly busy. So just spend time with your friends and enjoy your senior year.

I wish I could keep my mind off it. I find out about Questbridge in a week and I have been having the hardest time concentrating on homework.

You kill time by preparing for the worst by continuing to work on apps that will be submitted if you don’t hear something positive because you won’t be in any mood to work on those apps if you happened to get rejected. Two weeks, especially at Xmas, is a very short amount of time to get everything ready from scratch. And if you do get in, you can laugh at what a preposterous waste of time that was, because you knew you’d get in all along.

Homework

Scholarships

Lots more homework

More apps & honors applications

Some homework after homework

Don’t forget to eat. Ice cream numbs pain and anxiety 8-}

Netflix. Marvel Agents of SHEILD or whatever works for you

Follow your colleges intently. Refresh blog pages constantly. Stalk them with Google Street View.

@Anduar3 Great advice!
