w/e i got into ucsd.. better engineering program anyway :P

IF YOU REALLY DONT WANT ME UCI, HURRY THE F' UP AND CHANGE MY STATUS!

Waiting is so irritating. I'm so sad and I feel somewhat miserable because I'm afraid of being rejected.

zwankie

IDK if this has any relevance to you, but last year when I got my Bio Major rejection, was april 1st, around the same time all bio-related and engineer major acceptances and rejections were being sent out.

It sucked, but hold on!

I know that for UCI, about like more than 50% of applicants are engineering and/or bio-related majiors

I checked the UCI admission site so much that it's now the 8th top viewed on my google chrome list. Is that sad or WHAT? D:

its BS friend got email today with bio major

it takes time i guess

I wish it didn't. I'm just hella impatient. :b

Have any Studio Art majors heard yet?

I know its been said before, but Irvine admitting applicants this way is ridiculous. It may not seem like a big issue for those who didn't apply to Irvine, but for those who did it is just so stressful. Just do it all on a set date. Urgh.

^^ agreed.

^ Double agreed.

does it mean anything if they got your fasfa report

"Your initial application is complete and all documents were submitted on time.

Based upon the receipt dates as shown below, you may be considered for "priority funding" (this includes grants, loans and work-study). Please note, that we may be asking for additional information from you to complete the evaluation of your file. You will remain eligible for priority funding providing all future documents requested are received on or before the due date."

^ triple agreed!

frantastic!, my son was accepted last Monday for Studio Art. But he has friends with other majors who still haven't heard. Hang in there.

I don't think they are going by major...I think it's totally random. (My son was accepted as a Mechanical Engineering major)..

It is torture...but hang on.

Some questions for Irvine Admissions regarding Irvine admissions:

-- if it is truly random, why don't they say so officially on their website?
-- if is is random, why? Why is "random" a good way of releasing resuts bit by bit?
-- why not choose a superior way of releasing decisions (like UCSD, UCSB, UCLA, UCB) simultaneously? (if your computer system can't handle it, say so -- but wouldn't that be an embarassing excuse for a UC with a School of Computer Science?
-- don't they realize that the costs for those who wait including stress and anxiety are utterly unnecessary and a gratuitous slap in the face of those waiting day to day for a three week period?

If applicants and parents are truly outraged -- they should call the Admissions Office and make it known.

Nothing here is intended to detract from the students and admitted applicants who attend/plan to attend a fine school.

I was a music major but they dropped their program so i switched to education. I still haven't heard anything from them.

I think their answer would be that you will know for sure by April 1st (or whatever date is on the website). Don't read into what is happening with other people.

Personally, I think it would be better if they just had one day and let everyone know at once...just so they would quit torturing people.

I'm sad.
This whole waiting process is eating me up inside.
Checking my mail seeing that there is nothing there.
And seeing your friends get in.
What a horrible feeling.
I hope this all blows over soon.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!

so tired of waiting. uci is basically the last school i'm waiting for. and it's literally like do or die. i hope i'm not one of those ppl that get accepting on March 31st. that would be horrible!
