Has anyone heard from the waitlist yet? post your expirience here!

Hi. I haven’t heard back yet. Have you?

I haven’t heard either. I posted a thread asking if anyone knew how many students enrolled by the May 1 deadline but it didn’t get any replies.

I haven’t heard back either. I’m getting pretty anxious!

i have not heard, either. It is a very stressfull time. Does anyone know when the first round of letters will be coming out? (assuming the letters come out in rounds)

people who got waitlisted last year said they found out mid-late may… I am so nervous I just want to find out already

I wish that we could find out the number of people who enrolled as this may give some indication of how many spots are open. Also, spots may open up as the Ivys start to use their wait lists, so there’s still hope.

What have you guys to get off the waitlist so far?

any waitlisters get the updated agora? I did not, i am just wondering

I haven’t heard yet but I am extremely anxious! They should just let us know already!!

Here is last years waitlist thread

Looks like June 13th?

I haven’t heard back either…so nervous!

The thread from last year’s waitlist had people hearing this early though…
do we know if it is a call/letter/or email when they notify us?!

Also,
I’m confused on exactly what the tab things are. I have the like, "application status’ and the “change info”…are those the “tabs?”

Do you guys think BC will use waitlists this year? Because BC apperantly has accepted high number of students… like 9000? and waitlisted 2000? o… I am getting so much stress over thinking about what if BC won’t even use waitlists!!! Have any of you guys called BC about what’s going on?

Last year, the last “batch” of acceptances were mailed June 30; due to the July 4 holiday, letters didn’t hit west coast mail boxes until the 5th. But, how many was in that batch is unknown.

Good luck to all.

I received some bad news (for all of us) today. My guidance couselor talked to someone who spoke to a BC rep who said that BC accepted a higher number of students than usual this year and had a strong yield as well. Therefore, few (if any) students will be taken off of the wait list. However, there is still some hope as a few competing colleges have already started to take some of their students off wait lists. When I spoke to a BC rep at my school, he said that BC’s wait list depends a lot on if Harvard uses theirs.

that’s really depressing… looks like time to move on.

Harvard expects to take “65 to 75” students from the waiting list.

[Yielding strong results | Harvard Gazette Online](Yielding strong results – Harvard Gazette)

There’s still a number of other schools that BC will lose kids to due to wait lists. The BC rep just specifically mentioned Harvard to me. He also said that last year and the year before BC accepted about 200-300 students from the wait list. My guidance counselor said that a “few” students should be used from the wait list but what’s a few of 2,500 people?

So has anyone heard anything as of late? I was just looking through the transfer thread and it looks like there have been quite a few transfer students receiving tabs/e-mails. I don’t know about everyone else, but the wait is definately getting more difficult as each day passes.

According to last years wait list thread, most people didn’t get taken off the wait list until middle to late May.
