Waitlist 2017

Sportskid!! That’s what happened to someone earlier in the thread, they got in! I hope it’s good news for you :)

^you’re in ! That’s exactly what I received congrats sportskid!!

Thanks everyone! I called back and left a message, but won’t hear back till Monday as she is out of the office tomorrow. I just hope it isn’t held against me that I missed her today because I had practice after school today.

Congratulations everyone :)

It’s weird though you didn’t even send in the message. It kinda means they don’t care what you add to your file and just how much you wanna get in.
Paying $30,000 probably puts you in lesser need category cause some internationals can only contribute $5,000 or something.

I’m exhausted already. Just how much can one want to get in to really get off this damn wait list. I’d put myself aside for this place and study 24 hours a day :(

Taking a gap year or the idea of going to Lithuania or Netherlands just kills me. I struggled so much for this and I’m in a total emotional breakdown.

Now that they started taking people off and they responded me with a really short and polite message that places might not be available probably means they don’t even think of reviewing my application and at the same time don’t want to start rejecting people.

I’m being too emotional and I didn’t know it’d be this hard.

Does anybody know, if I get rejected this year and re apply ED I next year with better scores, with first semester University grades, are chances higher? Cause someone who didn’t get off wait list last year and didn’t even apply this year cause she said it was futile. I think vice versa. Anybody any ideas?

I don’t see why it would hurt you. Anyone know how many people their planning on taking off the list?

Blue, it’s ok, it would be weird if you didn’t feel this way. I don’t think reapplying would hurt, and if you apply as a transfer you’d be in the Class of 2017 anyway :slight_smile: Sportskid, I have no idea about numbers. Not sure they’re totally sure either =/

We don’t know. Darcy said they are reviewing apps case by case. They certainly do have some places. Two people(as we know) already got off.
One is domestic with small need.
Another I don’t remember, just scroll the old pages.

International transfer with aid? No
I wouldn’t risk MoHo. And the class year doesn’t matter to me.
If they tell me today welcome to the class of 2019 I’d just calmly wait for two more years.

@bluecholeric
I am crossing my fingers for you, because honestly I feel like you deserve it so much. I know how you feel in a way because this year until the actual moment I got accepted to MoHo, I had little to no prospects for school and every single application decision I received in the month of March (9 of them in total!) was a waitlist or a rejection. On top of that I was struggling with school and other personal things. I had all but given up on everything, and the fact that you are being proactive and that you are putting in effort in responding to the school and keeping updated is indicative of your character and your love for MoHo and I honestly respect that so much and admire you for that.

Even if things don’t turn out as expected, I know that you will find your way to MoHo. and that everything will honestly work out. And besides…you still have a really good shot of getting in so don’t lose hope and keep at it!

@ifailedhighsch

Thank you so much dear. Such support means a lot for me.

I’m absolutely sure I will(find my way to MoHo). Doesn’t matter the class year :slight_smile:
Cause right now I live 15,000 km away from that place and I can still sense how great being there is. I won’t give up on my dreams for ‘name’ European schools.
And hope we somehow meet up at Holyoke :)

Blue, I know the feeling, I really hope you get good news. I guess we might get news today, if Darcy was out of the office Friday. I just can’t deal with the waiting :frowning: I want this so much, but it’s stressing me out.

I got in!!! :-)

Yay :smiley: Congratulations!!!

Thanks Mattie!

That’s awesome! Congratulations
Did you get call today?

God I’m on crack

Tell us about your financial need

Thanks Bluecholeric!Darcy first called on Thursday but I missed the call and left her a message with my cell number. She called back today. I didn’t even apply for financial aid as I can afford the tuition, though not easily. I’m also domestic.

That’s awesome Sportskid, you’re so lucky :slight_smile: You’re gonna have an awesome time at MoHo, and who knows, maybe I’ll be seeing you (this year or next) fingers crossed

@sportskid45

Hey that’s actually really good for me and Mattie cause we are internationals with huge need and so they are picking domestic first.
:slight_smile: Lucky you

Blue, earlier in the thread there was mention of a friend in China who got accepted, so I really don’t know how they’re making decisions…might be alphabetical?

@MattieR91

I don’t really think China is as international as Georgia.
I mean many Chinese get in MoHo and many of them probably affords it.
Idk.
I doubt it’s alphabetical. It’s probably highly likely thing
