UC Berkeley because of the Alumni Scholarship. You?

how was your letters formatted and did you guys try to be creative?

do you think its too late to try to send in a letteR?

It might be too little, too late, Houstonblue, but it's worth a try. Couldn't hurt!

ah, that's great sunkist! AS you might remember, I was also waitlisted at Rice. I am attending vanderbilt univeristy (closer to home) this fall.

Sunkist, I'll be attending Cal next year too, coming from Texas. Hope to see you there! Still no word from Rice. . .

I was also waitlisted at Rice. I kind of lost interest after they waitlisted me, so I didn't send them much in the way of additional information. However, I did remain on the wait list and haven't heard back yet. I will be going to Vanderbilt though.

I'm still waiting to hear from Rice... I guess I'll wait until the June update though. Funny, deferred from ED and then not offered even the priority waiting list. So for now I'm planning to go Plan II at UT for a while at least.

I was deferred ID and I wasn't offered priority waiting list either. I've kind of given up, but I want to hold out to at least the June update.

but if they do give you a spot, would you go?

I am still waiting to hear from priority waitlist :(

Macksimum, Plan II at UT is EXCELLENT. I've heard a lot of positive things about that program, and a lot of people get into good graduate/med/law schools coming out of Plan II. A lot of my friends are doing Plan II next year. Either way, Rice or Plan II at UT, you'll have fun!

Good luck!

I would consider the possibilty very seriously, but I think it depends on when I hear. For example, I'm thinking if I hear before July I will go. It's difficult because I got off the wait list to Wesleyan and will be accepting a spot there (95% sure.) I would feel bad saying no to Wesleyan later on.

Hey hey, the class of 2009 is now full.... you just gotta hope somebody drops.

I got the letter today. Just wondering, is anyone like dying to go to Rice?

My S just got the letter yesterday with a postcard to stay on list. Is anyone sending the card back?

Hey, since the class of 2009 is full, how would that affect the transfer students?

I, too, got the "Waitlist #2" letter, and I quickly sent it back with a "No thanks."
