<p>I am on the Davis waitlist, and seeing as how waitlist offers are supposed to be sent out in in May, I was wondering if anyone else who is on the Davis waitlist has been notified so that I can gauge my chances (since otherwise Waitlist chances are somewhat of a coin toss)</p>

<p>I was accepted today, and I am a Psych major.</p>
<p>As I understand it, there are around 1500 people on the waitlist, and they are accepting people by major. Meaning that if they have 30 spots for psych majors, they will make 30 offers to waitlisted psych majors and continue this process until all 30 are filled.</p>

did uc davis notify all departments on tuesday? i am wait listed for computer science & engineering in the college of engineering…and i haven’t heard anything. and from the looks of it, it seems like everyone who got in today are non engineering majors…</p>
<p>I’m wait listed for Psychology, and I haven’t heard anything at all Curry. I think it’s just too early in the month or something.</p>

<p>Phantom I don’t think we have a good chance of getting off the wait list. I think they notified those who were at the top of the list on Tuesday… And if they don’t accept the admission offer then they go down the list. But it looks like everyone will accept it.</p>

Undeclared in Bio Sci. Notices are going to be sent out this whole month though, so just wait and see what happens. If you haven’t gotten an email saying you haven’t gotten in then there’s still a chance you did!</p>

<p>Lots of kids applied to engineering too however. I have a hard time believing they would bone all of us that applied to the medical/social sciences this early in the month.</p>
<p>Besides that, I figured having an 1840 SAT, 30 ACT, summer internship at a dental office, summer volunteer staff at a daycare, and several years of local hospital volunteer work would cut it. Decent GPA too, dont remember if its a 3.6 or 3.8 though.</p>
<p>Its the waiting thats bad. Waiting a month for something that may never come.</p>
<p>^ dude im in the same position as you-except my major is like undeclared humanities i think (hah its been so long i cant even remember), but umm…yea this waiting isnt a good sign-hopefully we’re in the next “wave” of acceptances.</p>

I am computer science & engineering. i called the davis office today and they said they reevaluated all their wait listed applicants and notified the best ones on tuesday. and then i asked if that means that i have no chance of getting in and they said no i still have a chance but there is no guarantee that i will get in.</p>

<p>no they didn’t. but i’m assuming it will be friday or monday. those who were notified on tuesday have three days to accept/ deny their offer of admission. so after they see how many have accepted they will make additional offers because obviously not everyone will accept.</p>
