Waitlist Admissions

Decisions should be out by May 1.

SO post if you get in here, keep us updated

sdkfjiejf ugh, im still waiting for a decision! :(

hopefully we get some good knews, i guess friday is D Day lol

do yall know about how many people choose to be considered for blinn team, or any blinn team stats from last year? i;ve heard that about 7,000 get offered waitlist and all that but they only expect half to even respond.

My little brother just met with an admissions counselor and they said waitlist decisions can take up to May 17th! So don’t worry if you don’t hear before then. Also, they offer Blinn Team to 500 students (that’s what they told us on Monday).

may 17? they just told me everything will be out by May 1

Yeah! They told us that May 1st is the deadline for accepted applicants to respond to their offers… so the waitlist decisions can take a few weeks after that (depending on how many spots open up).

Also someone else posted this website that shows the same date:
[Understanding the Wait List ? Frequently Asked Questions](http://admissions.tamu.edu/WaitListFAQ.aspx)

your right i forgot to specify waitlist admissions in the email

Will they send out any acceptances by May 1?

My son was accepted off the waitlist yesterday! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

they said no later than the end of JUne, but i would think if your getting in off the wait-list you will know much sooner

does anyone know how hard blinn team is to get

Congrats to your son!!! What were his stats? My little brother is still waiting to hear from the waitlist… hard decision b/c he’s been offered to play college basketball at a private university!

He had a 3.7 weighted GPA, 3.2 unweighted. 25 ACT He is also going to be in the Corps…don’t know if that played a part. Good luck to your brother…wherever he ends up!

My Son was also accept into A&M off the waitlist on Tuesday, we were very surprised. He is at a small private school in the 3rd quarter of his class. 3.1 GPA, but a 32 ACT and a 1400 SAT. Very involved kid in Church, school, etc. No plans for corps at this time, Both my wife and I our Aggie grads, class of 91 and 94. Whoop. Honestly we were hoping just for Blinn team and were very happy, due to class rank.

I’m an international and still didn’t get a decision.

Is the envelope that has the acceptance letter and stuff thick or thin, compared to the envelope that had the wait list information? Silly question maybe… but I’m wondering :)

In our experience they received a large (9"x12"?) envelope with their acceptances. Someone told them a small envelope held a rejection. I don’t know what a wait list offer envelope is like.

I just got accepted into Texas A&M through waitlist. 3.5 GPA With a 27 on the ACT. I planned on going to the Corps, and had a lot of JROTC stuff to put on my application from high school. Class rank was in the top 25% because I am technically homeschooled and that is the automatic class rank for me. Yay!

CONGRATS!!! Did you receive an acceptance letter first, or find out through AIS? We are still waiting to hear on my brother!
