Don't give up!

PS for all of you wondering what his original post contained, it was a bluff to try to get you to not update your application in order for EmekChris to try to get a leg up on the waitlist competition…

Thank me later for dispelling the seemingly odd “advice straight from the admissions office.”

The original post said that you can update your application. However, that is only if you have something to add that makes your application more interesting and “complex”.

Is it necessary that waitlisted applicants send in an updated transcript? My D was not anticipating getting waitlisted anywhere, so her grades have not been as high as they usually were (several B’s). I hope the admissions office wouldn’t judge her merely on her 3rd term grades, she really deserves to get in!

I would advise that you have your GC call your regional admissions rep to find out if they will tell them about your application (what they felt were your strenghts and areas of opportunity).

If her grades have gone up, then yes, you should definitely send an updated transcript along with any updates in honors or awards that she has won.

“she really deserves to get in!”

…

wow lol
