Does anyone have any idea, including people from the admissions office at Wesleyan, how many people are going to be admitted off of the waitling list now that it is past May 1st?

I suppose you'll find out soon enough.
Let us know what happens!
Did you send in additional info after you got waitlisted?

I sent in a letter of intent, and just faxed an award I recently got, today

I sent additional materials and gave it my best effort...

I guess I'll find out when I find out. I was looking through information and they said that they stop informing in mid June, so I should know between now and then (oy).

I am anxiously waiting. I am feeling an almost irresistable desire to drive to the admissions office and throw myself at their feet begging.

I felt that way for UChicago when i got the waitlist letter after getting deferred.
You get really disillusioned with what you can't or don't have that you don't appreciate the beauty of what's in front of you.
Now wes is an amazing school, and i'm really glad that i did get waitlisted because i would have signed myself to something that didn't fit me as well as wesleyan did.
I can't say i knew this till it happened though.
I bet you're admitted into some awesome schools too, and I know that wesleyan is an amazing place. Just give the other schools a chance because if you don't get off the waitlist, you might like it there and not want to transfer (which can always be done) the sec you get there.
Good luck with Wes, I honestly hope you get in. It's an amazing school!

I know that I have an amazing place to go to if I don't get in off of the waiting list, and it was very sweet of you to give that advice. For me, it's just that I know what feels the most right. For the school that I sent in my deposit to, I will have a fantastic time there if I don't get off the waiting list. So I'm not worried.

The only thing that is getting to me is waiting to find out.

Where did you send in your deposit if you don't mind my asking?

I didn't send in any additional info, and I got in today.

How did they tell you?!

They called and left a message saying I should call them back. The office was closed at that time, so I couldn't call, but they also emailed me.

Anyone else anxious as hell?

vxapxv, i'm going to pm you. But PM me first and tell me if you're def. going or not :-)

how much time did they give you to make a decision?

i was already ridiculously anxious about this whole thing, and am even more so now that waitlisted kids are hearing from the admissions office...i wish there was something i could do

does anyone accepted from the waitlist need finaid?

whoa what? they are already accepting people? ahh goddd. Does anyone know if they will contact us if we do not get off the waiting list (in the first wave at least)? Because i CANNOT be left here hanging!

cloverdale--
I was accepted from the waitlist, and I do need financial aid.

I'm so confused about what to do! I can't decide this quickly!

congrats ---you are lucky to have such wonderful choices. Where did you send your deposit?

Argh now after seeing people say that they have already found out makes me itchily nervous and in deep need of finding out. But because of the way waitlists work, well...ok. I just hope that I find out before mid June, but I don't know if that will happen.

Sigh Just got to keep in mind the analogy:

If I'm a flute player and they are looking for a bass player, then tough luck for me.

I JUST WISH I KNEW ARGH.
