Waitlist-->chances now that #s are in

so is the first round over then?

I'm hoping not. I mean of course they wouldn't contact people over the weekend.

That and the fact that not all mail was created equal :-)
Some people's mail will probably be getting there at the start of this week. But around wed's by the LATEST, I think it should be done.
Good luck, and remember that some kids who get off the the WL will turn down wes for better finaid offers and other reasons.
Like I said, I'm waitlisted at UChicago and I LOVE the school and everything about it. I've made a lot of friends at wesleyan prefrosh and current students, and I don't think I want to leave that now. So unless the finaid offer is earth shaking or the 'prestige' gets the best of me, which I don't think it will, I'll be at wes.
Oh also, some kids who are waitlisted at other schools might go there over wes if they get in, that's why kids get in mid june i guess. I didn't send any new info to Chicago, oh well.

Keep hope guys, keep hope.

May I ask what the stats of the waitlisted (and/or now accepted) are?

Thank you! Congrats to everyone who got in.

Today hopefully?!

Any luck anyone?

I called wesleyan today and asked if their first wave of applicants taken off the waiting list was over and if that meant that my chances were tiny now, they said that's not how it works at all and they'll be taking people in shifts

Hmm... 'tis good news.

Yeah, I figured. That's why I'm hoping that I'll find out in one of the eariler shifts...who knows.

If you're not accepted do you ever find out?

lol.... of course u do...
that would be cruel and unusual punishment if they decided to never tell u if u were taken off the waitlist...however u would eventually put 2 and 2 together.....

I believe you are never told, if you aren't taken off the waitlist. You can still be accepted in august, so when exactly will they tell you you're not accepted, the day before school starts?

no, they send out a letter sometime in mid june to everyone that they are not going to accept that they have "stopped taking people off the waitling list", which is a polite way of saying "no".

It would be stupid of them to wait until late august. Housing forms, duh.
