What are the chances of getting off of the UCLA waitlist for a bioengineering major with an alternate as computer science? I know these majors are very difficult especially because they are engineering, but is there any chance of still possibly getting admitted? Would they consider me for L&S if I said I would be willing to switch in the optional writing portion?
@10s4life the UCLA forum champion stated that extremely low chances for any Engineering majors.
You could try but UCLA does not consider alternate majors for Engineering applicants in the first place and the deadline to change majors was in January.
It’ll depend on how many students end up accepting Engineering’s offers of admission. Their target is around 800, but they admit far, far more students than that. But if they fall short of the target, they may use the waitlist.
I wouldn’t expect it, though. Just being real.
@sunflxwer8 Hopefully, you will get off of the UCLA waitlist for a bioengineering major. Do you mind to share your stats ( SATGeneral Test score, what kind of SAT Subject Test submitted and its scores, what kind of AP test submitted and its scores). Thank you!
