Waitlist Chances?

What have they been in prior years?

What will it be like this year?

BUMP I also want to know

[Waitlist Statistics at Top Colleges and Ivy League Schools](http://www.admissionsconsultants.com/college/waitlist_table.asp)

It gets less and less every year. Last fall 08, they accepted 0 from the waitlist. .-.
(I saw that figure directly from Stanford’s site.)

Did anyone put anything in the waitlist response box?

Princeton’s shot up to 30 after they had a “0” year :)

aw crap. I got weight listed too T_T.
So does it matter if we sign up for the weight list now or later? Like are we reserving our spot in line or do they actually go over everything again within the weight-list pool?

Hang in there guys. I recently graduated from Stanford, but got admitted through the waitlist. The unfriendly waitlist numbers from the past couple years is due over-enrollment through regular decision. This year though, they were extremely careful to avoid over-enrollment which should mean that there should be some good waitlist movement this year unlike the previous. This should give you guys some hope.

If they waitlist 5% of 30,000 applicants, that’s 1500 waitlistees. If they then admit 15 students from the waitlist, that’s 1%.

So everyone, our shots are 1/100. :)

^Someone has to be that 1 :)

LOL, let that me be! Got rejected everywhere else.

what should waitlist ppl put in the box?!? just list stuff or write an essay?

LOL I love your optimism Sea Legs! xD I now have a 1% chance. hahahahaa

Do I even have a chance at ending up in Stanford? I got waitlisted and Im from Bahrain! Guys, give me some real statistics here im worrying

i got waitlisted to harvard, yale and uchicago as well.
