Waitlist class of 2016!

For all of us sorta-adequate applicants!

Just to keep track of the process of being on the waitlist and trying to get off if that’s what you want.

woooohooo haha

yay :expressionless: 10char

Yay. Second wait list (for my favorite schools) in 2 days. Hopefully MoHo will have good news tomorrow…
Anyone else here apply?

Sorry, Penguin. :frowning: I also applied to MoHo! So we’ll see how that goes ~

rejected from wellesley yesterday and waitlist at bryn mawr today, hopefully bryn mawr changes their mind…

does anyone ever get waitlisted at BMC but accepted at Hford?

Wait listed :(

haha i’m in the same boat T_T;;

It’s okay! A lot of us are!

My mother is texting me to tell me how clearly I haven’t worked hard enough and this is the consequence and how it’s all my fault. Thanks, Mum.

from college board:

Wait list Statistics
Offered place on wait list
645
Number accepting place
352
Accepted from list
7

x______________x;;
wow…

Do you think that the waitlists might move faster this year, since it seems like more people than before are applying to private colleges? Or is that wistful thinking?

Unfortunately, no. For example, last year, neither Smith nor Mt. Holyoke took ANYBODY off their wait lists, BMC very few. And looking at the stats of those waitlisted, the overall competition has to be tougher than ever. Hang in there and best of luck to all.

So BMC wasn’t my first choice, but I did show a lot of interest and even visited overnight. It’s really disappointing, considering everything I do:

2090 SAT
31 ACT
Year-round athlete (cross country, indoor track, outdoor track)
This year: 4 AP classes, 1 Honors class, 1 College Class (chosen from the top 10 in my class)
GPA well over a 4 (out of 4, weighted)
Club officer
Consistent community service
Commitment to dance classes (for 16 years).
My “Why BMC” was actually pretty decent, and full of conviction
Apparently my recommendations are “stellar” as well.

This is just…disappointing. I’m waiting on NYU, GWU, and Penn, but this situation is making me feel inadequate for these colleges. At least I have other colleges to consider as well.

waitlisted  anyone mind sharing their stats?

3rd waitlisted so far…
Hoping for better luck =(

waitlisted

sad that i didn’t get in… but life goes on…

waitlisted, but I won’t be attending. Nevertheless, here are my stats:

29 ACT (33 English, 30 Reading, 28 Math, 24 Science)
