Waitlist Class of 2020

No. It’s a line from a song that a football announcer used to say when a game was a blowout. Meaning it’s over. Time to move on.

So no notification? Don’t bet the house!

No notification here.

No notification here too!!

Is no news good news or just no news?

Probably just no news (and the U Mich people being too lazy to at least let us be done with the process :)) )

By now, I am almost 99% sure that we’ll probably be getting rejections, but the 1% remaining, based on just blind hope is what keeps me waiting, and I would like to be done with the process asap.

I guess its just no news.

They did say “mid to end of June”, so I think we just need to be patient. Either way it will be over in approximately 2 weeks. :-S

I think by this point if we haven’t heard back then it’s bad news. People are going to orentation for colleges already in Texas and I have already found a roommate dorm assignment. Michigan knows how many people will be attending next year so it just looks like they don’t have any open spots.

Yeah, U of Mich is probably the only ones still dragging on people with the waiting list process while all the other colleges have moved on proper.

I guess it’s probably gonna be bad news, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a couple of good news receivers out there, because judging from last year’s thread, exceptions do pop up. But like I said, they would just be exceptions. :frowning:

Any rejections yet?

10 more days I guess till the rejections are out…

Has anyone else received any good news??

Nope, nothing here. Tried contacting a lot of people (yeah, some were even not at all related to the admission process, so it was kinda funny :)) ), but the reply is the same, “wait till end if June”/“historically we take very few people off the waitlist”/ “hope for the best!” The last one being from the more lively (and less related to the admission process) people :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess we’ll get to know in a few days. Maybe a few people here might even get offers for guaranteed transfer too. I hope a spot opens up in LSA for me, :stuck_out_tongue:  But I know the chances are slim. Well, the best thing they could really do now is just be done with decisions. It’s way too long already.

The language from the waitlist decision says, “If an opening becomes available, you will hear from us immediately. If no openings are available you will hear from us by the end of June.” In other words, read literally, if you hear at the end of June, that is to tell you there were no openings. So if you haven’t heard by now, it is, barring some last minute divine intervention, almost 100% certain to be a no.

Michigan still offers a guaranteed sophomore transfer! Hoping to at least receive that from this whole process of being deferred and WL.

Yes, there are hopes for guaranteed transfer…and well, also for the divine intervention :)) :stuck_out_tongue:

What’s kinda annoying is, that the undergraduate admissions support team people still say that, “We have not made any final waitlist decisions yet however, we hope to release all decisions shortly.”
(Received this reply two hours from now, when I am writing this.)

One would hope they would have the DECENCY to inform those who accepted wait list spots

One more day or so and we will know… We have waited 7 months, a day or two is no biggie

Tomorrow’s my birthday. Darn.
