<p>Our neighbor just got in off the waitlist yesterday.</p>
<p>Turns out they keep admitting people till the end of may.</p>
<p>I think most colleges keep at least a short waitlist through the summer in case of unexpected “melt” in their acceptances. People get sick, have family problems, decide they can’t afford it after all, double deposit (hopefully not many of those!), etc. I don’t know why Grinnell would be any different. Not to hold out false hope, and I do think some colleges “slim down” the waitlist early in the summer (maybe that is what you mean by waitlist decision). Because acceptances off the waitlist are usually onesy-twosey things :)</p>

<p>i really doubt they’re taking any more off the waitlist. The class is quite large apparently.</p>
