Did anyone else receive an email from the Dean of Admissions regarding the waitlist? There's a link in the email asking if you want to continue being on the waitlist, and it also mentions that the Dean will send you weekly emails.

Sorry if this sounds confusing...i'm doing this in school and i'm not supposed to be on forums so i typed this kind of fast

yeah but those emails were sent quite a while ago :S, and oyu had to confirm whether you wanted to retain a position on the waitlist or not. They are already accepting people from the waitlist now, i got an email saying they have accepted from from the waitlist yesterday.

I received 3 emails from Emory regarding the waitlist.

First one asks me to submit a form saying I’d like a spot on the waitlist

Second email (the one i mentioned in the first post) wants to know if i’m still interested in the waitlist and asks me to submit another form and tells me if i get accepted then i have 3 days to reply.

Hey guys, i was waitlisted from both emory and oxford, and i chose to only stay on emory’s waiting list. Our school asked us to submit decision letters, so went on opus and somehow i can only find oxford letter and not emory’s. i mean before both were on, and now theres only one. does that mean that i have no chance to get in emory- i haven’t received any phone calls

Question to the group - yesterday, my son’s Emory wait list letter was on the OPUS website; this morning it is not there only this:
“Your admission decision is not available at this time. Please check your Admission To Do list for remaining application requirements. If all application materials have been received, check your school’s website for decision release dates or for decision timeframes. Thank you for your interest in Emory University”
He had previously accepted at Oxford but remained on the Emory wait list.

Pelham - Sounds like they did a blanket purge to the waitlist gang but the wording is suspect. That’s what the site said before the acceptance and waitlist letters went out. Maybe a phone call is in order. Keep us informed…

when you are given a call to be told you are off the waitlist, is it possible for them to leave a message if you don’t pick up? And if that is the case, are you supposed to confirm that you got that phone call? sorry, i’m just paranoid about the possibility of getting a call but accidently have told Emory the wrong number or something like that.
