waitlist for csulb??

Hey everyone, I just called there phone number at CSULB and it said that I had been placed on the waitlist and I need to respond to the email, but I’ve been checking my email addresses and none of them have an email from long beach. What email address did everyone else receive the email at? Was it the @csulb.edu address?

I got waitlisted as well, with a 3.5 GPA, 25 ACT, 1680 on the SAT. I got into UC Davis, San Diego State and Cal Poly Pomona for civil engineering though. So too bad LB! :P

@bigtallguy, are you sure you didn’t get anything? are you a transfer student?

I got waitlisted as well, and I’m also wondering where the email will go. They probably have not sent it out yet, but where would we check it?

Thanks!

They use the email address you gave when you applied, the same one where they sent your confirmation of your application and all that junk. It did take a few days for me to receive it, so just wait a few days. Call if you don’t hear from them.

(Hey guys! I’m new to the forums)

I, too, got waitlisted =/. I just got the e-mail today.
I’m trying to transfer there from a CC. I have a 3.7 GPA, majoring in Communicative Disorders.

but I also applied to CSUF and CSUN, and I got accepted to CSUF… but it says the last day to agree to go to the college is June 1st

Does anyone know if I can accept CSUF and then, if I get accepted to CSULB late June, drop it and go to CSULB?

wait listed :(, but I won’t be perusing my admissions status. I already sent in my SIR to UCSB.

Omg I thought I was the only one having wait listed but me too they sent me a letter say I have great academics but due to budget reason i’m wait listed n they will tell me in may do anyone know when in may cause i’m scare if I don’t get in I am going to miss Fullerton orentation deadline?

What are your stats Dede209? If you want to go to CSLB, you can SIR for Fullerton, and wait for the CSULB decision. This is if you don’t mind losing the deposit money for Fullerton.

well i am a 3.8 student with a SAT for 1450 and idk what to do cause NSO for Fullerton i have to pay an 85 dollars i am not worry of losing it i am worry about the housing for fullerton the deadline is may 10th and if i don’t get in long beach idk what i would do about housing.

You have a high GPA, but your SAT scores are slightly lower than the average.

I think you should call them to ask about housing since you’re in a weird situation. If you put a housing deposit at CSUF, will you be able to get it back?

Can someone please tell me what exactly is a SIR?..
I might have to submit one to CSUF

@Rencisan- A SIR is your enrollment deposit. You have to pay it if you want CSULB to reserve a space for yourself as a student at their university. It was due May 1 for freshmen. It is due June 1 for you (I’m assuming your a transfer student).

you know how freshman for CSULB have to submit their SIR on May 1st when will those in the waiting list be notify if there’s a spot?

I’m assuming soon since the deadline for freshmen SIRs has passed. They should be feeling those spots up soon.

^Thanks ahh this makes me nervous =__= i’m hoping to have a spot but i am sure it’ll be hard

I’ll be opening up a spot once I call tomorrow. I SIRed to CSULB but now I’m changing it to UCSB. BTW I’m a math major. I hope someone fills in for my spot!!!

^ I thought you were going to Stanford. >.>

i got an email from long beach. unfortunately, i did not get in

yeah i didn’t get in either.

^ Same. I doubt they accepted anyone off the waitlist. It’s really sad. :frowning: It was my first choice for the longest time.
