Was anyone here waitlisted for ECE but accepted to CIT for all of their other engineering schools/majors?

If so, can you explain the whole process of when we find out if we get off the waitlist or not? And also, this isn't the same thing as being on a priority waitlist.. is it?

Thanks in advance

i was also waitlisted. I didnt recieve my decision yet.

hmmm... i'm wondering if we were supposed to get these decisions at the same time as priority waitlisted students...

No, regular waitlist is later...

I got waitlisted too... sigh... this is pretty depressing~ :( Anyways I think the decision will come by early June~ Hope we will all get in ~!

Kitman - the deal with ECE is that you come and you take the same freshman curriculum as other CIT freshman. If you want to be an ECE, take the intro to ECE class (I recommend in the fall). Then when everyone declares their major in the spring, you'll list your top three choices. Admission to ECE off of the ECE waitlist is SOLELY by GPA. Anything above a 3.0 and you're golden - they take as many people as they can until all the spots fill up. I think the lowest they take is usually around a 2.7 or 2.6 (which is not hard to achieve freshman year as long as you work hard :-D). It's honestly not something I'd worry about, and you can talk to Kurt Larson throughout the school year if you're still worried.

Thanks electron~ nice to know
