I just got a letter saying I was waitlisted for U of M twin cities. Kinda bummed even though it wasn't a top choice of mine. What can I do to help me get in if there is space? Can I edit my application submit to them new test scores? My ACT was 17 and I'm almost positive that is what got me because I exceeded their requirements on everything else. I have retaken then ACT for a scholarship at another school so my question is can u submit that to them and will they consider it when/if reviewing my application again? Thanks any info greatly appreciated.

No one can predict what admissions will do with application updates.

That said, if you have updates, send them! Examples of updates include improved SAT and ACT scores, recent academic and EC achievements, additional letters of recommendations, etc. They can only help.

To be fair on yourself, it’s pretty amazing you were waitlisted and not flat out rejected with a 17 ACT. I’m sure if you improve a few point, you’ll have a good chance of getting in.

Did your app ever switch to “carefully considered” on the tracker?
