2 questions:

1) ive been waitlisted. is it worth contacting vandy - and if so how? my grades have gone down in a senioritis slump but i believe that ill still finish the school year with a higher gpa than my previous years. ive had no real achievements since the time of applying (save a new tutoring job and a shot at placing in track county championships). i really like vandy and i wouldve ED'd there but didnt due to financial reasons which leads me to my next point.

2) im not a US citizen, but i do live in the united states (on a visa). i can't get a real paying job because i dont have a social security number... im pretty much limited to tutoring which i can only do so much of. does vandy offer any aid to internationals and is there any chance id get it? my parents will simply not pay 50k a year, especially seeing as i got into uconn honors program which is only 16k a year (in state). ive heard that vandy is generous to in regard to financial aid - does this hold true for internationals too, or am i screwed?
