I need help with my waitlist essay. I said why I’m a perfect fit and my update. It’s 2 pages…single spaced. Is this too long? What should I include in this? Any tips/advice? I need all the help I can get. Thank you!
IMO that is waaay too long. Colleges are not looking for an impassioned, emotional plea at this point. Short and sweet would likely work best. I’d keep it to a paragraph or so covering the following: 1) express continued interest in the school 2) state any significant accomplishments (if any) since your application was filed 3) something thing you can add to the school/campus life and 4) only if true write “if accepted I will attend”.
on the update, should i put things that are in my resume? like if i said a certain club then say this is what i am doing in the club or is that redundant ? Thx
For example- I organized prom as an officer of NHS? Is that not significant enough?
No, at this point you need to tell them why you OVE the college and why you would fit there. No more extraneous stuff.
Should i mainly make it about the college, and a little about me ?
It should be about why you will be a good fit for the college. Why do you want to attend?
