I was just wondering how does Princeton notify you if you got accepted off the waitlist.

I have heard that they call you and then send you a big package. BUT does anyone know if you leave a voice mail for you if you cannot reach the phone? Or do they skip you and go on to the next person?

And for people who have Caller ID and who got accepted off the waitlist, is Princeton's number "Private Number"? Or does it have the (609) area code?

I know it's really late in the game, but I'm just very curious and I can't seem to find anything about this topic.

I wouldn’t worry about Princeton “skipping” you in the waitlist due to a missed phone call…remember, the admissions office is trying to build the best class. Therefore, if you are accepted, they definitely value you…hell, Princeton values all of the waitlistees, or else they would have been rejected outright.

There was another thread about this last month, and I think they said that they did see the 609 area code (I keep looking for it every time my phone rings!), but no one could come to a consensus about whether or not they’d leave a message. I’d put my money on that they’d leave a message.

area code was 609. from what i REMEMBER from a previous thread, I think if you dont pick up they just wait until you get the letter/package they send you later and thats how you find out. but im not sure how legit this information is;;

er yeah i think. if they call you on your cellphone. but seems like many got called through their home phone? and if you dont have caller ID… hrm -0-

My brother got taken off the Princeton waitlist just a few days ago (I believe Thursday). Anyway, they called our home and left a message, and then called the school college counselor just to be sure he found out. If they want you, they’ll make sure you know.
