I emailed the college of engineering almost immediately after finding out I was waitlisted (on April 4th). I waited for a response but never got it and for some reason never followed up assuming that they were too busy or didn't want to be bothered. To my dismay I just realized that they responded only 4 days later (April 7th) and told me to send in updated grade reports and a 2 paragraph explanation why I want to go there. Apparently I didn't receive this email because it somehow fell into some obscure filter I had set up that I only happened to randomly check today. I feel like my lack of response will suggest a lack of interest. Is it too late to get back to them? Has anyone ever gotten in off the waitlist without going the extra mile to get noticed? I feel like I blew it!

Send in what they requested ASAP. Just don't make any excuses.

I was waitlisted at the college of engineering and I haven't heard anything about the waitlist or anyone getting in. Anybody know what's up?

I was waitlisted at CoE, sent in grades, awards, letter of recommendation from my interviewer and my own personal statement. Haven't heard anything.

D waitlisted for engineering and contacted COE on Friday 5/9. She was told in email response that COE had higher yield than anticipated and that it is "very unlikely" that they will go to the waitlist. If they go to waitlist it will be within the "next few weeks."

No...I didn't want to read that :(

Bah O well.

Still hoping they do take some off the waitlist.
