I am waitlisted at one of the schools I applied to. Due to my acceptance to another school that I am definitely going to attend, I do not wish to remain on the school's waitlist to leave space for other applicants.

However, that school has sent me the decision packet which includes a card that indicates my preference in remaining on the waitlist. Since I am an international applicant, it's going to cost me a bunch to send it back to the USA. I don't think it's worth it since I'm definitely not attending anyway. But it's not polite of me to ignore it either. What should I do?

somewhere there is a candidate who may benefit by your removal from the waitlist. If the cost of returning the courtesy card is such an economic burden, how are you going to meet the financial demands of attending a boarding school? Congrats on getting in to your first choice. Remove yourself from the waitlist as soon as possible as a courtesy to the school and others on the waitlist.

Enemy, congratulations on your success! I have enjoyed reading your enthusiastic & thoughtful comments these weeks leading up to 10-March, and clearly the BS appreciate your comments too
