Any internationals here who got a call?

Add me to the list of calls! =D
Yay, I hope what you all have said here is accurate...that would just make life awesome.

congrats, juniorinhs

for all the waitlisted->accepted students:
do you consider your financial aid info. to be correct? I'm just wondering b/c I got $0 in grants and there's no mention of work/study on the PennPlan page...

i'm an international and i didn't get a call. I think the chances for us internationals aren't very high, considering they enrolled 13% int'ls this year, the highest in penn history, or one of the highest.

I've been living in the US for six years but I have a H-4 Visa. So I wonder if I'm considered a domestic applicant or an international applicant.

I was waitlisted for Wharton and I am Indian.

illinifan: You are an international applicant if you do not have residential ID.
If visa is all you have then you are an international applicant.

As a waiting list "accepted hopeful" I do not qualify for aid.

@juniorinhs - seem to remember you from the Harvard/Stanford waitlist threads
Looks like I might end up meeting you at Penn
PS: Where are you international from? Canada here

crib, could you please elaborate on what you meant?
sorry, brain dead from homework and APs

So juniorinhs, you received a call today or a few days ago?

The original call was earlier this week, but my officer and I have been playing phone tag for a bit...
and Yeah, sdong, that Stanford letter was quite disappointing, but this would make it all better!

What if I'm an international who sent my waitlist letter on April 30th by airmail and the letter has not yet arrived at Penn?

I will not get any grants

really, how do you know this??

maybe Crib knows he/she doesn't qualify for grant aid

has anyone NOT received a call? like are we sure it means we'll get envelopes?

I do not qualify for grant aid. Compared to the other college forums, those students who received phone calls said they were being accepted off the waiting list-unofficially. It is only a sure thing when the letter arrives.

seeing that waitlist calls were received by 7-8 CC members, i kinda get feelin that penn has pretty much filled those 20-25 spots.

Anyone have an idea of when the waitlist will be finalized and have all call-receivers gotten their packets?

illinifan: I guess Monday next week would be a good date for when the waitlist is finalized. I got my packet and I would have received my call on Thursday, May 10th.

I called Penn SFS and they said that they would send me my real financial package in a week.
