Waitlist Question

I got an email on 15th...I don't understand what it exactly means...

Is there room available now they just want more time to decide whom to pick?

OR

There is no room and I can be picked ONLY if some admitted students accept other schools offer?

I think this is a HUGE difference...

From this website it looks like onone has gotten in since like a week ago. I think they are waiting to see what effect Harvard and the other schools have on their class size. Also they are probably sorting through the many emails they got after their last mass email on Thursday.

Basically everyone was put on the extended waitlist and you'll hear back the earliest at the end of June. I agree with foozball. Columbia is just waiting to make a move based on what happens after other schools take kids off their waitlist. Chances are, some Columbia students are probably waiting to hear back from other ivies.
