I got waitlisted by Columbia. According to previous threads, the chances are slim at best.
They discourage recommendations and ask for at most one page of supplement.
I have a few alumni from Columbia that I know well, should I still ask one of them to recommend me?
Also, how important are 3rd and 4th Quarter grades to Columbia?
What are the chances? Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys

if they specifically tell you to not do something you probably shouldn't do it

i dont see how an alumni recommendation would make any difference....anyone can know an alum well...there are 1300 new ones each year...doesn't mean each one of us has some special say about admission decisions

There is very little chance your last semester grades are really going to sway any decisions

So what should you write in your page supplement? In letter form or resume form?

Has anyone turned in their statement yet? I still haven't turned in mine!

How many people did Columbia waitlist this year?

I haven't written anything either.
