Waitlist responses

That's what I thought.. oh noes..

are you SERIOUSSSSSSSS?!!
can anybody from last year please confirm that waitlist acceptances are first, rejections are last?
i'm soooooooooooooo saddd now :((((((

good luck guys!

Stern is entirely full guys...no one is going to get off of the waitlist.

I got my rejection letter today. Although I knew it was coming, I still feel disappointed. :(

sorry to hear the bad news guys, but according to usnews.com in 2006

Qualified applicants offered a place on waiting list:
1,608
Applicants accepting a place on waiting list:
N/A
Students enrolled from waiting list:
41

so i am not sure what is the deal with nyu this year. best of luck to you all, so where are you guys going instead?

That's offered including those who declined a spot, I think.

D: Did anyone here get accepted?

it seems like everybody on this board and/or discussing the waitlist is hoping for stern.. so how about non-stern hopefuls, how's the waitlist looking?
FYI i'm for CAS

i was for CAS

rejected from CAS waitlist today!!!!!!!!!
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :(
(NYU was my 1st choice...)

...rejected.

Did anybody get accepted off the wait list? Well we can all be disappointed and upset together...:(

would it be possible for them to change their minds? lol like say..people get rescinded over crappy grades at the end, cause there are def. people in my school who got into nyu, but now are like failing half of their classes.

^i sure hope so!

Can we try to transfer in as sophomores? or do we have to wait until junior year?

why can people not transfer as sophomores?

see, i was contemplating transferring.. but transferring is difffffferentttt than getting in the 1st year! by the time you just got comfortably settled into your new school, you have to make a complete set of new friends and simultaneously ditch your old friends from your previous college that you're (assumedly) already tight with. so that's sad.

^A lot of my friends from high school are going to the college i'm going to, so i dont think i will be making many new friends. I was planning on "ditching" my current friends anyways, so thats not a big deal for me. haha.

Trojans,

You got into USC but not NYU?

Odd.. I got into NYU with a lot of scholarship but rejected from USC.

What's your major?

^no i got rejected by both. It sucks but there's always next year.
