That's mindblowing, fusiondogg. So are you going/are you on facebook?

I will be on facebook when I get all the stuff I need from Hopkins. I've never had a facebook account, but I suppose now would be a good time to start one.

Hey what did you two do after being waitlisted to get yourself accepted.

Lol, I didn't do anything. I didn't write a single letter or anything. However, those waitlisted probably should write some sort of appeal.

They still might take some more, I'm hoping they take me :)

when do you all think they will take more off and how many do you think accepted a spot

Honestly, I don't know. I doubt they will except more than 5 or 10 by this point. Remember, for the past 2 years, they didn't even offer admission to people on the waiting list (i.e. they completely ignored the waitlist).

did you qualify for fin. aid since i know that plays a factor

Nope. I live in an affluent community in NJ.

I don't either, I didn't even apply. I hope it helps

anyone hear anything yet

Idk about other ppl, but JHU sent out the first batch of waitlist acceptance letters Monday...the current accepted batch of 40 kids should get the letters next Tues. at the latest. (I haven't recieved mine yet...although I verified my address with them and they said they sent it to my house...)

so would i know if i was getting a letter

oh one more thing, do do you think public health is already full

If you had got a letter in this batch, you would've already recieved a call from your region's admissions counselor as well as a call to your high school guidance counselor. Idk if public health is already full.

P.S.: Just got my acceptance package today! It's a black folder--with velcro! They sent it Priority.

Okay guys. According to an undergraduate dean of admission (who I spoke to on the phone),t his is the scoop:

Overaccepted last year, underaccepted this year.
they let 30 kids off first
they're going to let 20 more off.
About 50 kids overall will be let off the waitlist.

You'll get notified by phone first.
Good luck to EVERYONE!

didn't you turn the offer down margarita..

I cant sleep..
how many do yo think chose to remain on the list

Penn, what school will you be going to if you don't get into JHU?

Nope, I'm going. If they still want me lol Already sent in the deposit.

Each year they keep on about 1,000

it is so complicated. I can only go to the Baltimore or Philly region because health insurance issues. I am on a high risk pool run by the state and i have special permission to go there to see my doctors. I live in KANSAS! so i dont know but my back up was tulane and then i found out about this. I got a great scholarship to the public health school there. there are not many undergraduate public health programs these days
